I. Preparatory Work

Ii. Selecting the puncture Site

Common puncture sites include the head, forearm and thigh, etc. Determine the optimal puncture point by touching the blood vessels on the model. Make sure the vein can be clearly felt at the puncture site.

Iii. Apply a tourniquet

Apply a tourniquet 1 to 2 inches above the puncture site to help fill the vein and facilitate the puncture. Avoid having the tourniquet too tight to prevent it from affecting blood flow.

IV. Perform venipuncture

Use the puncture needle, gently insert it into the vein, maintain a stable technique, and ensure the puncture Angle is appropriate. Be gentle in operation to avoid puncturing too deeply or piercing the outer wall of the blood vessel.

V. Confirm blood return

After a successful puncture, blood reflux should be observed to confirm that the needle has entered the vein. At this point, remove the tourniquet and fix the puncture needle.

Six. Fixing and Cleaning

After fixing the puncture needle, clean the puncture site with an alcohol cotton ball, gently press to stop the bleeding, and ensure there is no bleeding.
