The foot acupuncture model is a simulation teaching aid specifically designed for the teaching and clinical skills training of traditional Chinese acupuncture. It mainly showcases the distribution of meridians on the feet and the locations of commonly used acupoints, such as Yongquan, Taixi, Zusanli, and Kunlun. This model is made in proportion to the human foot, with clear acupoint markings, making it easy for learners to locate them intuitively.

In clinical operation training, it is first necessary to combine theoretical knowledge to identify the meridians of the feet and the main acupoints, so as to have a clear understanding. Subsequently, trainees can conduct standardized needle insertion training based on the position of the acupoints, paying attention to mastering the Angle, depth and direction of needle insertion, and simulating the manual requirements in the actual needling process.

During the operation, one should repeatedly practice the positioning and needling techniques of common therapeutic acupoints, such as regulating the spleen and stomach through Zusanli or tonifying the kidney and calming the mind through Yongquan, thereby deepening the understanding of the functions and clinical applications of acupoints. When training, it is also necessary to pay attention to moderate force to avoid damaging the model, and combine simulation demonstrations such as finger pressure and moxibustion to enhance the diversity of operations.

After completion, the surface of the model should be cleaned in a timely manner to keep the acupoint marks clear and extend its service life. The foot acupuncture model not only helps learners closely integrate theory with practice, but also enhances their understanding of the therapeutic effects of common acupoints on the feet during clinical training, laying a solid foundation for future acupuncture diagnosis and treatment.
